An evening visit to The Conservatory in its historic setting at Polraen arriving by Looe Valley Line train is a memorable experience. The train skirts the riverbank from Looe to Sandplace, arguably the most picturesque stretch of the entire line. Spot birds and wildlife from the train and see the historic lime kilns on the short stroll from Sandplace Station. An extended evening timetable starts from May 18. Western Greyhound No 573 bus provides an hourly service on the Polperro – Looe-Liskeard-Callington route until early evening.
