The facilities
The guest lounge and dining room flow into a spacious conservatory which spills out onto the garden beyond. This flexible interconnecting function space can seat up to 40 for a formal seated meal, while we can accommodate up to 75 for a more casual affair with an informal buffet.
Spacious onsite parking and easy level access to all public areas makes Polraen particularly suited to extended family groups. In the garden, the mix of flower borders and landscaped banks provide an ideal backdrop for photographs, while hardwood garden furniture and parasols provide additional seating in the south facing garden.
Nestling peacefully in the Looe Valley at Sandplace just two miles from the historic fishing town of Looe, Polraen Country House Hotel is surrounded by glorious Cornish countryside – just a convenient five minute journey from Looe or 12 minutes from the nearby market town of Liskeard.
Fresh local Cornish produce
Having earned both AA Breakfast and Dinner Awards for good food, we allow the quality of fresh local produce to speak for itself in uncomplicated dishes created with a touch of flair. Menus are individually tailored to budget and occasion using Cornish reared meat, locally grown vegetables (wherever possible), fresh fish and scallops directly from Looe Quay, and a distinctly Cornish cheeseboard alongside our delicious home made puddings.

As a guide, price per head for private functions is from £15 per person for two courses; minimum of 15 people.
