Rooms
Standard rooms have ensuite shower rooms, tea/coffee making facilities, flatscreen TV, DVD, free WiFi, hairdryer and thermostatically controlled radiators.
Superior Rooms, in addition, offer superking (or twin bed arrangement on request) with a comfortable lounge area, choosing between a ‘double size shower’ or ‘with shower/bath combination’.
Rates
Single Night stays: we reserve the right to charge a £10 supplement for rooms occupied for one night only.
Family Room pricing is based on either one child or 2 children under 12 sharing with adults. Please request pricing if your child/children are over 12. A travel cot is available and infants are free of charge where bedding is not required.
Bookable by telephone only: A Family Room can accommodate up to 4 adults – eg for walking parties. Single occupancy can be requested in a double room at 80% of the room rate.
Bed Linen
Our beds are made up with duvets. If you prefer blankets and/or non feather pillows, please request at time of booking.
Access Statement
All bedrooms are on the first floor. Polraen is a fully licensed, non-smoking establishment – welcoming children but sorry, no pets.
Terms and conditions
Pricing
Rooms booked direct ie either by phone or online via the Polraen website guarantee to be at the lowest available rate. Check our Special Offers to get the best deals. We reserve the right to apply higher rates to third party online booking systems/agents, amend pricing at any time and place a restriction on the minimum length of stay. This does not affect bookings already confirmed.
Payment
Debit/credit card details or a personal cheque are required to confirm a reservation, covering a room deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay. Special terms and conditions apply to ‘Early Booking Rates’. Final balance: Cash or debit/credit* card (we regret no cheques). Due to increased bank charges, *credit card payments for the final balance will attract a 2% surcharge.
Cancellation policy
Acceptance of a reservation confirmed by the owners constitutes a binding contract between them and the guest. In the event of cancellation or curtailment , the following charges apply: up to 28 days before commencement of stay, loss of deposit only; less than 28 days, loss of deposit plus a charge of 2/3rds of the remaining balance for the duration booked. We will however do our utmost to re-let room(s) to reduce your liability. ‘Early Booking’ rates are heavily discounted and are subject to payment in full at the time of booking. If you then decide to cancel or curtail your stay, any refund will be based solely on our success in reletting the rooms wholly or partially. We recommend you take out holiday insurance.
Check In/out
Check in from 4.30 pm (or from 1 pm by prior arrangement). Sunday Check In time is by arrangement. Check Out: 10.30 am or late check out arranged in advance. We are happy to store your luggage if required.
